We’re about halfway through the Faces of Warm Current fund raiser and the response and donations thus far have been amazing. We feel really honored to be on the receiving end of all this love. As a small token of our appreciation, we’ve wrapped up our custom application code and are making it available to any groups who need a turn-key fund raising solution. Here’s a small write-up from github:
“This application is intended to serve as an easy to install fundraiser application that leverages a variety of “freemium” services. The application is served using Sinatra, using Google Checkout for payment processing services, Heroku for hosting, MongoHQ for database services and Amazon S3 for asset storage. The motivation for the original site (a fundraiser for the non-profit Warm Current) was to create a bare bones website to collect money for a fundraiser and to spread the message with social media.”
