501(c)3 Application Complete & Submitted
91 pages of breathtaking, heart-stopping Form 1023 prose will be falling on the IRS’s lap any day now. We had been delaying our submission in hopes that the IRS would launch its online (and low-cost) submission process this year–but after it was put off for another year, we decided it was time to move on. While we are already qualified as a non-profit charitable organization in the state of California, federal tax exempt status is a prerequisite for much foundation and grant eligibility, and allows for the deduction of donations. We look forward to sharing the good news when we get it in the next couple of months!
